Paintings on paper ephemera, evocative of both transience and timelessness.

“The sky was momentarily filled with the wheeling forms of plovers, oystercatchers, godwits and turnstones, all calling to one another as they circled round and flew off out to sea.”

I collect paper ephemera, drawn to the stories hinted at in traces of years of wear and tear. These jettisoned documents have become an habitual canvas for me. The foxed and blotted surfaces provide an almost topographical habitat that it seems only right to populate with birds.
